Calling all Minecraft-loving kids aged 8–12 on the autism spectrum—this one’s just for you! Dive into a sensory-friendly afternoon filled with popcorn, laughter, and pixelated heroes as we screen The Minecraft Movie together.

🍿 What’s Included:

  • Sensory-Friendly Screening: Lower volume, softer lighting, and a flexible atmosphere. Kids can move around, bring a comfort item, or take a break in our quiet space as needed.

  • Tasty Treats: Popcorn and allergy-aware snacks served with drinks in comfy seating areas.

  • Minecraft Magic: Whether they love the building, the battling, or the storytelling, this is a chance to enjoy Minecraft in a social and supportive environment.

Embark on an epic journey in our 3-week Dungeons & Dragons group, designed specifically for teens aged 13-17 with a diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and registered with the Ontario Autism Program (OAP). This immersive, fantasy role-playing game offers a unique opportunity to explore diverse worlds—be it medieval, outer space, or dystopian—as a fantasy character of your choice, such as an Elf, Barbarian, Orc, or Halfling.

Guided by a Dungeon Master, you and your teammates will work together as a 'party' to complete quests, missions, and adventures. Whether you're overcoming an evil three-headed being, fighting to save humanity from brain-harvesting aliens, enjoying a homecooked meal in a local tavern, or solving the mystery of the missing scroll, the choices and adventures are endless. Your fate is left in the hands of the dice!

Event Details:

  • Dates: Tuesdays in July! July 8th, 15th, and 29th!

  • Time: 4:30PM - 5:30PM

Strategies to set the family up for successful mornings getting out the door! ☀️🎒

Join the staff from Canopy Support Services for this parent and caregiver workshop which is designed to provide families with a variety of antecedent strategies that they can use to prevent challenging behaviour from occurring in the morning as they get their kids back into the school routine. This workshop will also provide families with reactive strategies that they can use when challenging behaviour occurs, so that they know how to deal with the behaviour(s).

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 This session is designed with families in mind—whether your child is transitioning into their very first school year or getting back into the swing of things after summer. You’ll walk away with tools you can start using right away to create smoother, calmer mornings.

Bonus! After the workshop, families can book a 20-minute one-on-one consultation with a Behaviour Consultant to create their very own customized Visual Schedule—a proven way to bring structure, consistency, and a little more peace to your routine.

A calm, colorful, and hands-on event for children ages 8–12 on the autism spectrum!

Get ready to squish, swirl, sparkle, and smile—this is a joyful celebration of creativity, textures, and sensory exploration. Sensory Explorers Afternoon offers a relaxed, no-pressure environment where everyone is welcome, supported, and encouraged to express themselves through touch, color, and imaginative play.

🎨 Activities Include:

  • 💫 Glitter Jar Station – Create your own calming jar to shake, swirl, and take home!

  • 🧼 DIY Slime Lab – Stretchy, squishy fun with customizable colors, scents & textures

  • 🌈 Playdough Creations Corner – Mold and shape with soft, colorful dough. Natural scents and tools provided for sensory fun.

  • 🧊 Cool Textures Table – Explore kinetic sand, water beads & more at your own pace

Embark on an epic journey in our 3-week Dungeons & Dragons group, designed specifically for teens aged 13-17 with a diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and registered with the Ontario Autism Program (OAP). This immersive, fantasy role-playing game offers a unique opportunity to explore diverse worlds—be it medieval, outer space, or dystopian—as a fantasy character of your choice, such as an Elf, Barbarian, Orc, or Halfling.

Guided by a Dungeon Master, you and your teammates will work together as a 'party' to complete quests, missions, and adventures. Whether you're overcoming an evil three-headed being, fighting to save humanity from brain-harvesting aliens, enjoying a homecooked meal in a local tavern, or solving the mystery of the missing scroll, the choices and adventures are endless. Your fate is left in the hands of the dice!

Event Details:

  • Dates: Tuesdays in August! August 12th, 19th, and 26th!

  • Time: 4:30PM - 5:30PM
