Group Details:
This group is for teens with a diagnosis of Autism, aged 13-17 years old.
This 6 week group begins Monday, April 7, 2025, and runs until Monday, May 12th, 2025.
Sessions run every Monday from 5:30-6:30 PM
This group takes place in person at our Cobourg office, 975 Elgin St. West.
The fee for this 6 week group is $1570.00.
EXCITING NEWS: We know the cost of skill-building groups for children/youth with autism and their parents/guardians can be significant. Given the clinical oversight and expertise involved, we recognize the investment required. The Autism Services team at Canopy Support Services warmly invites children and youth with Autism Spectrum Disorder and their caregivers to our special Easter Egg Hunt at the Main Office! 🐰✨ This thoughtfully designed station-based and sensory-friendly event ensures everyone can celebrate the joys of Easter at their own pace.
Here’s what makes our event extra special:
🌟 Easter Egg Hunt: Embark on a delightful adventure along the Bunny's Trail, searching for colorfully decorated eggs brimming with surprises. It’s a treat-filled experience for all! 🍭🐣
🖌️ Craft Table: Get creative with Easter-themed crafts, from decorating eggs to making bunny-inspired masterpieces. There’s something for every imagination to enjoy! 🎨✨
😆 Face Painting: Transform into a butterfly, bunny, or any springtime favorite with our fun and friendly face-painting station. 🖌️🌟
🐇 Easter Bunnies Village: A crowd favorite! Visit the charming Easter Bunnies Village for photo opportunities, friendly visits with the bunny, and even a special treat handed out by the bunny themselves. 📸🐰🍬

Please note that this event is for children and youth with ASD and their families. Families must have their child’s OAP number to register for this all-ages event.

Join us for a fantastic evening of laughter, strategy, and fun as we dive into our favorite board games, learn some new ones, and make new friends. It's the perfect way to connect, have fun, and practice sharing turns in a friendly, welcoming setting! 🎲😊

This group is designed for children aged 7-12 with a diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), who are registered with the Ontario Autism Program (OAP).
Please note, an OAP number is required for all in-person events.
Event Details:
Location: Main Office @ 150 O'Carroll Ave, Peterborough
Parking: Parents should park in the upper or lower parking lot, proceed towards the main doors where an Autism Services representative will meet with you, introduce themselves, and show your child into the building.

PEERS for Adolescents Social Skills Group
PEERS for Adolescents
Social Skills Group
PEERS for Adolescents is a 14-week evidence-based social skills program for adolescents in middle and high school who are interested in making and keeping friends and/or handling conflict and rejection.
Participants will learn:
Developing and Maintaining Friendships
Conversational skills
Entering and exiting conversations
Appropriate use of humor
Handling disagreements
Electronic communication
Being a good sport
Organizing get-togethers
Handling teasing and bullying
Changing Reputations
Group Details:
This group is for teens with a diagnosis of Autism, aged 13-17 years old.
This 14 week group begins Thursday, March 20th 2025, and runs until Thursday, June 19th, 2025.
Each week the group will take place from 6-7pm and participants are taught social skills through didactic lessons and role-play demonstrations and practice these skills during group socialization activities.
Parents attend separate sessions simultaneously and are taught how to assist adolescents in making and keeping friends (parent participation Is required).
This group takes place in person at our Peterborough office.
